Fluent in English and the target second language. Ability to teach content in both languages following a structured dual-language immersion model. Ability to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators in a bilingual/multicultural setting. Training in early childhood assessments and progress monitoring for dual language learners. Flexibility to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet students/ diverse needs. For students in prekindergarten, the ability to develop proficiency in two languages by receiving 90 percent of their academic instruction in Spanish and 10 percent in English in the DLI program. Bachelor's Degree From Accredited University Knowledge and/or Experience Teaching Children Early Childhood Certification or Other Appropriate Texas Teaching Certificate Bilingual Certification
